What the study measures
AI visibility: the share of assistant answers in a category or use-case that name a given fintech brand. We tracked how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude answer real buying questions across six fintech verticals, then extracted every brand named in those answers.
Models and prompts
The dataset covers roughly 2,070 fintech prompts and 8,288 answers from OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, and Anthropic systems, collected in June 2026 in U.S. English. Brands were pulled organically from the assistants’ answer text — not from a preset list.
Who this is for
Built for fintech marketers, growth teams, founders, and operators who need to know how AI assistants surface brands — and how to earn visibility in the answers that increasingly shape buying decisions.

Pick a vertical, then narrow to a use-case, to see which brands AI names most — and read how the assistants describe each one.
About this study
Findings are drawn from 8,288 answers generated by ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Perplexity, and Claude (Anthropic) in response to roughly 2,070 fintech prompts, collected in June 2026 in U.S. English across national and digital queries, spanning six verticals: payments, neobanks & digital banking, lending & BNPL, wealth & investing, crypto & stablecoin, and embedded finance. Brands were extracted from the assistants’ answer text, not from a preset list. “Visibility” is the share of answers in a segment that name a given brand. “Own-site” (first-party) share is the portion of cited sources that are a brand’s own domain, matched to a brand the assistant named and counted cumulatively across all brands — a conservative figure. Rankings and percentages are robust; raw mention counts are directional. Sentiment and factual accuracy of the answers were not scored. Research by Yolando in partnership with Coinflow.
