Setting Up Your Account

Welcome to Yolando! Let's get your account configured so you can start gathering insights. The entire process is straightforward and should take less than five minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

First, create your user profile. This will be your personal login for accessing all of your Yolando workspaces.

  • Sign up using your work email address.

  • Once created, you can use this single account to log in and access or switch between multiple brand workspaces.

Step 2: Set Up Your Workspace

A workspace is the dedicated environment for a single brand, containing all its unique data, competitors, and insights.

  • Joining an Existing Workspace: If your company already has a Yolando workspace, simply ask a workspace administrator to send you an invitation via email.

  • Creating a New Workspace: If you are the first user from your company, you will create a new workspace during onboarding by simply entering your brand's primary URL (e.g., yourcompany.com).

Step 3: Set Your Tracked Competitors

This step tells Yolando which brands to benchmark your performance against.

  • Based on your industry, Yolando will automatically suggest a list of potential competitors. You can accept these, remove any that aren't relevant, or add your own.

  • To add a new competitor, just enter their URL in the "Add competitor" field.

💡 Tip: Don't worry about getting this perfect right away. You can add, remove, and manage your tracked competitors at any time by navigating to Knowledge Base > Competitors.

Step 4: Select Your Topics

Topics are high-level categories that group your prompts thematically (e.g., Pricing, Key Features, Use Cases). All of your performance metrics will roll up into these topics, giving you a clear view of your strengths and weaknesses.

  • Yolando will suggest default topics to start with, but you can customize this list by adding new topics or removing suggestions.

  • (Optional) Add Instructions and SEO Keywords: To help generate more relevant prompts, you can provide additional instructions or SEO keywords to include. This gives Yolando more context to improve the prompts it generates.

Step 5: Review and Manage Prompts

Prompts are the specific questions Yolando runs on AI platforms to measure your brand's discoverability and performance.

  • After you define your topics, Yolando will generate a list of recommended prompts for you to review and approve. You can also edit them or add new custom prompts manually.

Note: Prompts are the engine of your insights. You can always adjust your active prompts in Knowledge Base > Prompt Manager.

Step 6: Invite Your Team

AEO is a team sport. Invite your colleagues to collaborate in your Yolando workspace.

  • You can invite teammates at any time in Settings > Team.

  • Assign a role to each member to manage their permissions:

Full access, including billing, user management, and workspace settings.

Editor

Can create and manage topics, prompts, and content. Cannot access billing or workspace settings.

Reader

View-only access to all dashboards and insights. Cannot make any changes.

Step 7: Choose Your Plan

Finally, activate your account by choosing a subscription plan.

  • Select either a Monthly or Annual billing cycle. (Annual plans include a 15% discount.)

  • Enter your payment details securely through our Stripe portal.

  • All annual plans include a risk-free, 7-day money-back guarantee.

Once these steps are complete, Yolando will begin running your prompts and gathering your first insights.
