Prerequisite: Set Up Your Brand Voice
To create any content in Yolando, you must have at least one Brand Voice configured. This is the essential ingredient that ensures all generated content aligns with your brand's unique style and tone.
The Content Creation Workflow
The process for creating new content in Yolando follows a simple, three-step workflow designed to give you control at every stage:
Content Brief → Content Outline → Content Piece
Step 1: Create a Content Brief
The content brief is the blueprint for your content. It tells the AI what to write about, for whom, and what goal it should achieve.
There are two ways to start a brief:
A) From a Recommendation
Yolando's Recommendations page automatically identifies and prioritizes your biggest content opportunities based on your discoverability gaps and competitor activity.
Navigate to the Marketing Studio → Recommendations page.
Hover over a content recommendation you want to act on.
Click Create Content.
This will automatically pre-populate a content brief for you. You can review and edit any of the fields before proceeding.

B) Creating Content From Scratch
If you have a specific idea in mind, you can create a brief from scratch.

Navigate to the Marketing Studio → Content Hub.
Click Create New Content.
Fill out the fields in the content brief yourself.
The Content Brief includes:
Content Type: Choose what you want to create (e.g., Article, Social Post, Video Script).
Brand Voice: Select the Brand Voice profile you want to use for this piece.
Theme: The core topic or title that guides the content.
Goal / Rationale: Explain the desired outcome. Who is this for? What should it achieve?
Keywords: Add any specific SEO keywords you want to include.
Relevant Topics & Prompts: Link the content to the specific topics and prompts you want to improve visibility for. The content will be optimized to answer these questions.
Relevant Sources: Add existing artifacts, upload new files or add links used for additional context in the brief.
Additional Settings: Configure content word count, linking details and add instructions.

Step 2: Review and Refine the Outline
Once your brief is submitted, Yolando generates a structured outline in the Editor. This provides a high-level, bullet-point summary of the final piece.
At this stage, you can:
Review the Structure: Check if the flow and key points align with your goals.
Edit the Brief: Go back and make adjustments to the brief to regenerate a new outline.
Collaborate: Share a direct link to the outline with teammates for feedback.
Save and Exit: Your draft is automatically saved in the Content Hub if you need to return to it later.
When you are satisfied with the outline, click Generate Full Content.
Step 3: Edit the Full Content Piece
After approving the outline, the complete, ready-to-publish content piece is generated in the Editor. Now you have full control to put on the finishing touches.
In the Editor, you can:
Make Final Edits: Adjust text, rephrase sentences, and fine-tune the content.
Chat with the AI: Use the integrated chat feature to make iterative changes. For example, you can ask it to "make this section more concise" or "add a statistic about AEO."
Format Your Content: Use the rich-text editor to add headings, lists, links, and images.
Save and Publish: Your work is always saved in the Content Hub. From there, you can export it to publish on your website or other channels.
